Cycle in Everything
Unfortunately the collective wisdom of people living in the world today does not include an understanding of the pervasiveness of cycles in every area of our lives. We know that there are days, months and years due to the motion of the Sun, Earth and Moon, and perhaps people have heard of the Sunspot cycle and the Milankovitch Cycles of Ice Ages, but people do not generally have a world view that includes the ups and downs of animal populations, the rise and fall of civilisations, the cyclical variations in the Earthís magnetic field, climate and ocean flow patterns. We treat the world as something solid and mostly unchanging whereas it is all part of a very wobbly Universe from the largest to smallest scales.
In order to achieve the primary purpose it is first necessary to give a background of information from many different areas of human knowledge. While rather uncommon today, the study of cycles has been pursued by a small group of researchers who discovered a subtle, periodic wave nature underlying our everyday experience. Specialists in astrophysics, geology, cosmology, health, physics, economics, astronomy, geophysics, biology, botany, zoology, demecology, climate and weather, history and wars have all found cycles in their domains, yet few have realized that solid, scientific relationships connect these many diverse phenomena.
Join us on a fascinating journey into the previously secret structure of the world around us and within us in Wobbly Universe, a full colour 360 page book in hard and soft cover.
